USS Washington Commissioning Delayed!

The commissioning date will slip from the scheduled March date.  This delay is based on a recently identified material issue with an access hatch which requires repair of the sealing surface before the submarine undergoing initial sea trials.

Donate to the USS Washington Commissioning!

USS Washington (SSN 787)In March 2017, the U.S. Navy will commission the USS Washington (SSN 787), the only submarine ever to be named for the State of Washington. This is a great honor for our community and acknowledges our contribution to the nation’s defense.  This is an important opportunity, so we’re working to make the USS Washington’s commissioning a success.  We invite you to visit the USS Washington Commissioning Committee website and make a donation.  Your support will help honor the crew and celebrate the USS Washington’s entry into the fleet.  Please, make a donation and be a part of Navy history.  Support our namesake ship!
